Besides seeing our licensed physician and A.C.A.M. certified Advanced Chelation Provider our virtual consults will usually include our ChelationDoctors “Team”. Our Team approach means you will also have access to a naturopathic doctor, and sometimes our chelation nurse liaison as part of your consultation experience.
This service provides a basic medical screening and clearance, to make sure you have no contraindications to chelation therapy and that you qualify and may benefit from this treatment. The physician will provide a basic “EDTA” IV chelation protocol to be administered at your Chelation Doctors Affiliate Center of your choice. It is usually a 30 minute consultation and includes a brief 15 minute follow consultation after you have had several treatments. Consult also includes required basic lab tests (included in price) which are done through ChelationDoctors affiliate laboratory (Quest Diagnostics).
This service, also with our Chelation Team, is aimed at those who want a more in-depth assessment of potential toxic metals exposures and who may have complex medical histories or who require a more customized treatment plan, sometimes complemented by other treatments (e.g. ozone, IV therapies, sauna, colonics, etc.) that your affiliate center could offer. This service will include a random urine toxic metals screen and the required basic lab tests (Quest Diagnostics).
Our first follow up consult, usually after a 2nd or 3rd infusion is always included in the consult fee. Thereafter when further monitoring is needed (usually at least once per month, depending on physician recommendations) a brief consult is required – usually for longer treatments. These scheduled consults will be be with Advanced Chelation Provider and/or Team when possible.
This is the “gold standard” of toxic metals testing for those with histories that require an in-depth investigation. Testing has 2 components, each billed separately (one for the actual lab test and interpretation, and the other for the technical component performed by the Chelation Doctors Affiliate Center of your choice). The Chelation Doctors Affiliate Center will schedule you for the test. After collecting a random urine sample for testing, a nurse will place an IV and administer 2 chelators (usually EDTA and DMPS). After that you will be given a kit to collect urine for the subsequent 6 hours and then submit a sample of that urine for testing. The center will provide you with clear and easy to follow instructions. Results can take anywhere from 7-14 days.
